Your Germany journey,
guided with clarity.
Discover suitable Master’s and Bachelor’s opportunities in Germany, with personalised guidance, public-university-first advice, and a study plan built around your profile, goals and budget.
Personalised guidance · Transparent steps · We never promise admissions or visasBecause the right university matters more than the commission.
Germany Scholar began with one belief: eligible students deserve a good German education at suitable public universities, not a nudge towards private ones because it pays the consultant. We guide with honesty, keep costs affordable through stage-wise payments, and explain every step in plain language.
Fit before fees
We match your academics, goals, language level and budget to programmes, and look at public options first where they suit.
Stage-wise payments
No big upfront payment. You pay as work moves forward, with each stage and its scope confirmed in writing before you commit.
Full transparency
We separate our service fee from external costs such as tuition, tests, APS, application fees, insurance and living.
Honest about limits
Only universities and the German authorities decide admissions and visas. We never promise outcomes.
How we earn your trust.
- A written scope of service and stage plan before any payment
- Direct access by email, WhatsApp and phone
- Every recommendation linked to official university or DAAD sources
- A clear “what we cannot promise” list, shown up front
What makes Germany different.
A realistic look at why many Indian students choose Germany, and what to plan for. Rules and figures change, so we confirm current details with you.
| Germany | USA, UK, Canada, Australia (general) | |
|---|---|---|
| Public university tuition | Often none or low (exceptions apply) | Typically high for international students |
| Proof of funds | Blocked account: €11,904 a year (€992 a month), the current figure | Varies by country |
| After graduation | Up to 18 months to look for work | Each country has its own, changing rules |
| Teaching language | English and German programmes | Mostly English |
An honest reality check
- Student housing in big cities is limited, so start early.
- Health insurance is mandatory, at roughly €100–150 a month.
- German helps with daily life and jobs, even in English programmes.
- Appointments for visas and registration can take time.

Explore in-demand fields in Germany.
Germany is strong across engineering, tech, business and sciences. These are popular fields for Indian students. Competition varies by university and programme.
Life at German universities.
Germany isn’t just a degree. It’s an experience that shapes your career and your life. Here’s what awaits you.
Basic eligibility requirements.
Germany has clear, transparent admission criteria. Here’s a general overview; your specific eligibility depends on the programme and university.
Qualification
A relevant Bachelor’s degree. Recognition of three-year degrees varies by university and programme.
Subjects & credits
Many programmes ask for specific subject areas or credit distributions. Check each module requirement.
Academic results
Grade expectations differ for each programme. No single CGPA or percentage applies everywhere.
Language
English-taught programmes usually ask for IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent; German-taught ones for German certificates.
Documents
- APS certificate where required
- CV, SOP, recommendation letters
- Work experience when requested
Routes & deadlines
Apply through uni-assist or the university portal. Winter and Summer intakes have different deadlines.
Common mistakes: missing deadlines, ignoring credit prerequisites, incomplete documents, and assuming one rule fits every university.
Class XII
Eligibility depends on your board, stream and subjects. Class XII alone often does not give direct entry.
Studienkolleg
A preparatory course that can lead to degree eligibility, with an entrance test and German language needs.
Other routes
Foundation programmes or recognised additional study may help. Each university decides.
Language & APS
Most Bachelor’s programmes teach in German, so language readiness matters. APS applies in many cases.
Verify with DAAD India and uni-assist.
Choose with open eyes.
Public universities are often a strong first option where the course fits, but they are not automatically free. Private institutions suit some goals too.
| Public universities | Private universities | |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition | Often none, but Baden-Württemberg charges non-EU students €1,500 per semester and TU Munich charges for some programmes | Usually significant; varies widely |
| Semester contribution | Charged; amount varies | May apply with tuition |
| Programmes | Very broad selection | Focused portfolios, often business and applied fields |
| Language | English and German options | Often English-taught options |
| Eligibility | Can be competitive and detailed | Can differ; confirm directly |
| Extra costs | Living, insurance, blocked account, tests | Same, plus higher tuition |
| Suits | Strong academic fit and budget focus | Specific programme or structure, with funding in place |
Fees change. Always check the university’s own fee page.
